Podiatrist Paula Alarcon is a Podiatrist with a strong interest in sports, biomechanics and the rehabilitation of foot and ankle conditions. Her passion for Podiatry began after experiencing an ACL injury herself and seeing first-hand how podiatric care and orthotics could influence movement, stability and her return to sport. Having grown up actively involved in sport and dance, Paula has always been fascinated by the way the body moves and the important role our feet play in keeping us active. She particularly enjoys helping patients understand their injuries, improve their movement and confidently return to the activities they love. Her clinical interests include sports and musculoskeletal injuries, biomechanics, running gait assessment, foot and ankle rehabilitation, and ingrown toenail surgery. Paula takes a practical and centered approach, tailoring treatment to each individual’s goals, lifestyle and activity level. Outside of Podiatry, Paula is passionate about Ultimate Frisbee, having represented Colombia at the 2018 Under-24 World Championships in Perth and Australia at the 2019 Under-24 World Championships in Heidelberg, Germany. She continues to play competitively and enjoys hiking, going to the beach and salsa dancing. Paula believes that movement plays an important role in overall wellbeing and is passionate about helping people stay active, recover from injury and feel confident in their bodies.

Paula’s Philosophy: ” Better movement starts from the ground up. Healthy feet make better and stronger foundations
