Dr Poratt specialises in soft tissue surgery and all aspects of podiatric non invasive lower extremity treatments. His strength is the way he listens to patient’s and work with them in achieving what is important to them.

Dr Poratt is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) educated at the Californian College of Podiatric Medicine (1988-1992), Post Doctorate surgically trained in Foot and Ankle (1992-1995), and an accredited CPME (Council of Podiatric Medical Education) Podiatric Physician and Surgeon. Dan has extensive clinical experience in treating acute and chronic conditions in the foot and ankle, and their biomechanical causes.

Dan joined the Healthia organisation in 2022 commencing work at My FootDr; returning to Australia after 21 years from consulting and operating part-time in private practice, and a position as  Senior Lecturer at Auckland, NZ AUT University’s Podiatry Department.  Dan taught Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Podiatric Medical Imaging, and teaching on Management of Long Term Conditions to final year students. He is involved in research within various fields, the most recent being a 2023 paper about vibration machine protocols and Cerebral Palsy.
