Ken was born in Japan and raised in New Zealand. Before pursuing his passion for sport and health and becoming a sports podiatrist, he was given the opportunity to represent New Zealand U17 National soccer team to play in the 2011 FIFA U17 WORLD CUP in Mexico, which the team advanced to the tournament’s knockout stage.

After returning from the world cup, he decided to become a podiatrist which was a natural fit because it matched all interests and passion he has through his soccer background having first-hand experience with: sports, lower-limb injury prevention and management and injuries/medical care.

In 2016, graduating from Auckland University of Technology with a degree in Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatric Medicine, he made the move from New Zealand to Sydney to work in sports podiatry.

Spending four years treating and managing all aspects of podiatry in a busy clinic in Sydney, he has made the transition to life in Mackay with MyFootdr.

His confident attitude serves him well when seeing patients. Regardless of how big or small the ailment, Ken treats every patient with focus and care, taking substantial satisfaction in knowing he’s helping them improve their quality of life.
