My FootDr Townsville and the Townsville Road Runners are proud to once again celebrate Mother’s throughout Townsville with the fifth annual My FootDr Mother’s Day Run and Walk at Aitkenvale’s Rossiter Park on Sunday the 13th of May.
The annual event is a wonderful day out for the entire family with many runners and walkers of all age groups participating in the 5.2km loop run along the picturesque Rossiter Park.
Everyone is welcome to participate, so invite your mums, daughters, sisters, husbands, brothers, friends and colleagues.
The entry cost is $10 for adults and $5 for school students. Children under 5 are free. The event will raise funds and awareness for the McGrath Foundation.
This year’s event will have a precinct set up with pre and post-run refreshments provided by Townsville Road Runners, Lamberts Fresh Produce and barista-made coffee from Miss Macie Coffee & Events. You can even have your photo taken on the course by Phil Copp Photos which will be downloadable after the event for FREE….all the ingredients for a great morning by the river with family and friends for a good cause.
There are prizes for the 1st mum and 1st female to finish and lucky draw prizes on the day. So come and join us with your mums, sisters, daughters, friends and colleagues for a 5.2km run or walk from Rossiter Park along the picturesque banks of the Ross River and take part in our warm-up aerobics!
Local Podiatrists from My FootDr, Willows and Townsville CBD will also attend the event to help athletes get ready for the run. Any participants can access strapping, blister care or just drop by to ask our podiatrists any questions relating to foot health.
