Mother and daughter happy foot health park

My FootDr Healthia Me ClubDoes mum do a lot of legwork in your household? While socks and slippers will no doubt be a very popular gift (hint hint) on Mother’s Day, there might be a more lasting way you can show her just how much she means to the family.

When was the last time you treated mum to an appointment with a podiatrist to see what all that running around is really doing to her feet?  This is a gift that will lift the weight off her shoulders (and feet), literally.

You see, women need to be extra careful when it comes to looking after their feet – and sometimes as a busy mum, you don’t make the time to do anything about it. Between looking after the kids, working, school pickups – and of course finding time to exercise – your feet go through a lot!

And did we mention that almost two-thirds of women admit to wearing shoes that are stylish but not necessarily good for their feet? This doesn’t help.

Heel Pain Plantar FasciitisMany mums out there are likely to be suffering from heel pain – one of the most common foot conditions in Australia – be it first thing in the morning or after work.  Sound familiar?

Our advice? Put mum’s feet first this Mother’s Day. Book her in to see one of our podiatrists and make sure her feet are getting the support they need to support the family.

We also suggest a foot massage to add some icing on the cake (and don’t forget the slippers!).

We wish all the mum’s out there a very happy Mother’s Day!
