Tracey graduated with her Bachelor of Podiatry from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2016 with honours. She worked on Brisbane’s far north side in Dayboro, Woodford and Kilcoy where she gained experience across all areas of podiatry and worked with an excellent mentor to manage some complex patient cases. Here she got to work with several key pieces of technology including complex gait analysis technology and pressure systems as well as therapeutic ultrasound and laser.
In late 2017, Tracey moved to Gladstone with her husband. She has been working here at ‘My Foot Dr’ (Formerly ‘Shoes Feet Gear’) ever since.
Tracey enjoys working in all areas of podiatry. However, Tracey has a particular interest in children’s foot problems, sports injuries and general foot pain and also in diabetic wound management. Tracey has participated in a wide range of sports throughout her life. She currently enjoys hockey and running.
Tracey is always keen to keep up to date with the latest evidence and learn new skills to optimise her patient care. Tracey enjoys attending the podiatry and sports medicine conferences as well as various other workshops that teach new podiatric skills or improve current skills.
Tracey thoroughly enjoys her work as a podiatrist and strives in every appointment to really talk to her patients to understand how they are feeling, to explain to them what might be happening and why, and to develop a treatment plan to suit each individual patient to try get them back on their feet as soon as possible.
